What is FTP
|
|
If you have images more than 10 MB and cannot be supported by an upload into the
web or by email, let us have an email with your
requirement and we will come back to you with a dedicated FTP upload folder for
your order. File Transfer Protocol or FTP is a handy method to transfer files
of large sizes. If you have images totaling to more than 10 mega bytes let have
an email note of your requirement. We will create a dedicated FTP folder in our
secure servers for your order and come back to you. The FTP folder will be
dedicated to your requirement for a week to 10 days. Images uploaded into the
FTP site will be made available within a couple of business days to your
account at Fireia. You will also have an email notification once the images are
available in your account. You can use the order form and get the images to the
cart to complete the order process.

Scanning Specifications
|
|
Please ensure that the scan bed is clean and there is no dirt stuck to the print
because of static. Scan at 300 dpi for screen viewing and let us have a .tif or
.jpg image. For specific image processing requirements we will come back to you
if a different scan setting will be of use. Read the scanner manual for
instructions or follow these directions to clean the scanner before start
scanning the subject it later saves time editing the picture. The best way to
keep a flatbed scanner clean is to use specialized optical-surface cleaning
fluid along with an anti-static cleaning cloth. A clean, soft, lint-free cloth
along with a mild glass cleaner can be used as well. Avoid paper towels they
will leave dust on the glass. Do not use any type of abrasive pad, cleanser, or
alcohol-based product on the glass. Do NOT spray the glass cleaner directly on
the glass; this could damage the components inside the flatbed scanner.
Instead, spray a small amount on the cloth. Make sure the glass is absolutely
dry when finished, this avoids streaks.
